This author wanted a website that was more interactive on the front page.  There is video, links, recent blog entries, and news updates on the front page.  It is a mixture of a blog feel mixed with static information. Her subsequent pages are kept informative and clean. The blog attached to her site is good for promotional reasons or general writing.

A Reform Movement

I developed this site for a committee addressing concerns with the DSM-5, a standardized manual for mental health practitioners use in diagnosing mental disorders. They wrote a letter, created a petition, and then needed a website to house all their efforts at bringing reform to said manual. It was important to highlight the Open Letter they wrote as well as some other key information regarding the Coalition’s concerns.  I used the mysitemyway theme for wordpress.

Psychotherapy Website

This is my own personal psychotherapy website.  I have gone through a couple designs and am currently settled on this one.  It is clean and informative.  Many counseling and psychotherapy websites are ugly and do not communicate well who the therapist is.  Many of them look the same and I believe it is important to convey the philosophy and personality of the practitioner on their site.

An Online Journal

A clean website with a large slider emphasizing featured posts.  This website is an online journal of publications in philosophy, psychology, and the arts.  Current issue articles show on the front page (blog style) in visual teasers, and there are other pages of information, such as the Contributors page that is customized to pull all the author bios of those who contribute.
